What is your role and how does your organization contribute to parking, transportation, and mobility in Florida?
As the Director of Sales for the East Region, I oversee sales and client relationships for our nine Amano McGann offices in the East Region. For over 45 years, Amano McGann has manufactured Parking Access and Revenue Control Solutions and other various parking technologies. Partnering with our customers, we ensure parking operations, security and revenue control measures are successfully implemented at the parking facilities we support across various verticals.
What is your favorite part about being a member of FPTA?
My favorite thing about being an FPTA member is engaging with fellow members and discussing the topics that impact our industry. I attend more than a dozen parking shows throughout the year and consider the annual FPTA Show to be one of the best!
What trends are shaping the future of parking and mobility in Florida right now?
Digitizing parking by use of cloud-based software, AI, license plate recognition cameras and digital payment solutions to create a frictionless parking experience.
What makes Florida’s parking and mobility landscape unique compared to other regions?
What makes Florida's parking and mobility landscape so unique is the large volume of tourism throughout the state and the ongoing population growth. Florida has a very diverse landscape creating various parking challenges from one city to the next.
What’s one strategy or best practice that has made a measurable impact for your organization?
At Amano McGann we like to focus on our core business and build long-term relationships with our partners.
Where do you see the parking and mobility industry in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years parking will continue a digital transformation. Frictionless parking process will continue to grow, along with various digital platforms for identification verification and payments.
